The first attempt was unsuccessful although Afua Asantewaa got the exposure and a couple of ambassadorial deals under her belt.
It has been confirmed that the brand ambassador will be hosting the second edition of a Singathon in two months time, this time around in Kumasi.
In an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM, Afua Asantewaa won a deal as a tourism ambassador, apart from the other deals she’s bagged, and has the intention hosting another singathon attempt, thanks to the permission she had secured from the Guinness World Records organization.
“I can tell you for a sure fact that in December, Godwilling, I will be hosting another singathon, but my team and I are planning to do it in Kumasi.”
During her first singathon attempt, Afua Asantewaa was disqualified and lost the longest singing certificate to Sunil Waghmare from India, but she feels that should not deter her from trying again.
She is determined to hold a press meeting to launch the upcoming singathon event as it will create a lot of awareness and promote local tourism and inspire the musical heritage of Ghana.
