The Ministry of Roads and Highways has denied reports that the Buipe bridge will close on Friday to allow for emergency repairs.

According to the Ministry, the public should disregard such information.

There was a publication making round on social media that The Ghana Highway Authority will on Friday January 6, 2023, close the Buipe bridge in the Northern Region to vehicular traffic for emergency repair works to be carried out on the bridge.

However, the Ministry in a press release yesterday, January 4, 2023, told the public to disregard such publication which claims has the signature of the Minister.

“The Ministry wishes to state categorically that the Minister has not signed or issued any statement to that effect.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Ministry wishes to assure the public that the Buipe bridge will not be closed as alluded to in the said publication,” part of the statement read.
