The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has declared Tuesday, December 27, 2022, as an additional Public Holiday.
In a press release by the Ministry of Interior on December 21, 2022, the President’s declaration came in regards to 25th December which is a Statutory Public Holiday, but falls on a Sunday.
In view of this, the president has declared 27th December 2022, which falls on Tuesday a public holiday in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act,( Act 601) by Executive Instrument (E.I).
According to him, it should be observed as such throughout the country.
