Ghana’s sachet and bottled water rates will rise beginning today, Monday, October 31, 2022.

This comes after the National Executive Committee of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) announced the new price last Thursday.

Prior to today, prices were last raised on September 19.

The decision, according to NASPAWAP, was necessary owing to continuing rises in the cost of manufacturing inputs as a result of the cedi’s devaluation against the major trade currencies.
They added that there may be minor differences across regions and cities due to transportation to remote and distant places and other overheads.

According to the Association, the higher tariffs would allow water producers to continue producing high-quality bottled water for Ghanaians.

“A bag of sachet water (500m1 x 30 sachets) will now sell for ¢10.00 as an ex-truck price from retail trucks.”
