Mr Richard Jakpa has pledged his unwavering support to the National Democratic Congress’ bid of annexing the 2024 elections.
According to the controversial businessman, President John Mahama alone cannot win the elections without other people lending their expertise and support.
He made these comments on the sidelines of a National Democratic Congress’ rally in the Bolgatanga East.
Mr. Jakpa also promised to ensure that the NDC’s security is beefed up, ahead of the election, promising not to leave no loose ends in this bid.
‘‘We are taking the battle to them down there. This time around we are not going to any court. We are taking the battle to them at the polling stations,’’ he stated.
Mr Jakpa was one of the accused people in the now famous Ambulances scandal involving the Minority leader, Dr. Ato Forson, which prosecution halted following an appeal’s court no case verdict.
Following years of legal appearance, an appeal court in a 2-1 decision acquitted and discharged both Richard Jakpa and Dr. Ato Forson of any wrongdoing in a landmark case, which many CSOs have tagged as being a political witch hunt.
