There was a commotion in Nima, suburb of capital city Accra yesterday that ensued during what was supposed to be dubbed as a health walk through the streets of Mamobi.
According to re-affirmative reports from TV3’s New Day phone-in session, one Mr. Richard Kumadoe, a security consultant described the commotion as a violent altercation, leading to the assailing of some NDC party supporters.
When quizzed on what could be the reason behind party supporters carrying arms to a walk, the security consultant stated that the act may be a ploy from the ruling party to disrupt the peaceful walk of the National Democratic Congress supporters in Nima.
Pictures going viral on the internet show bullet wounds on some NDC supporters who embarked on the Mamobi walk, while a photo of a dread-haired man, dressed in civilian clothes, clutching a gun was linked to the video.
Inasmuch as the scene suggests that the man might be an NPP supporter, much cannot be proved about the possibility, however, the police authorities are reported to have mounted a scouting operation to fish out the instigators of the clash for the law to deal with them accordingly.
