Hollywood super movie icon, Idris Elba, just arrived in Ghana ahead of the much-awaited second edition of the African Cinema Summit, which is geared to start from October 7 – 10, 2024.
The award-winning chairman of the IE group was met by the former Netflix executive, Fiona Lamptey and Mr. Mesa, together with the National Film Authority entourage, and was given a warm welcome.
The four-day event will be held at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra and there will be a lot of African speakers will converge from across the continents, including Rwanda, Uganda among others.
Based on explanations offered by the National Film Authority in Ghana, these speakers will talk about the theme ‘Called To Relevance of African Cinema and Development‘ and debate on possible investments in Africa that could develop films in the African continents.
