A lawsuit has been filed against American singer, Miley Cyrus and her record label by Tempo Music Investments, from the Los Angeles Federal court, for stealing certain key elements from a song co-owner by Bruno Mars.

According to the charges made by company, the song ‘Flowers’ consists similar ideas and musical elements when compared to Bruno’s hit song ‘When I Was Your Man‘.

Although Bruno Mars is not named as one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, Tempo Music Investments says it owns a reasonable part of the songs U.S. copyrights to the song ‘When I Was Your Man‘”, after buying it from Philip Lawrence who partnered with Mars, Ari Levine and Andrew Wyatt in writing.

“It is undeniably based on the combination and similarities between the two recordings that ‘Flowers‘ would not exist without ‘When I Was Your Man‘, stated the complainant charge.

Asides Miley Cyrus being slapped with copyright breach, her fellow song writers, Gregory Hein and Michael Pollack, were massively involved in making a replica of Bruno’s hit song ‘When I Was Your Man‘ — as what they titled ‘Flowers‘ .

“With ‘Flowers‘, Cyrus, Hein and Pollack have created a derivative version of ‘When I Was Your Man‘ and this they did without getting an authorization”, ended the complaint.

While Miley and her team are yet to respond to this allegation, the song ‘Flowers‘ is going fast on the airwaves with regards to great sound and awesome lyrics.
