Former President Mahama has warned against voting for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Speaking at a charged rally in Bolgatanga East, the former president indicated that a vote for Dr. Bawumia equates to a third presidential term for President Akuffo Addo.
In his estimation, once elected, Bawumia will be unable to exact any accountability from the then erstwhile Akuffo Addo government.
He stressed that his government would ensure that government officials involved in any form of looting of state funds are brought to account.
As Ghana heads to the polls this December, the two major political contenders, have intensified their campaigns. The ruling New Patriotic Party is expected to unveil its manifesto on August 18, 2024 in the Central region.
