A former Deputy Minister of Energy, John Jinapor has described as needless invitation by Vice President DR. Mahamudu Bawumia to debate former President Mahama.
Its recalled that at his Upper East Regional Campaign, the Vice President accused former President Mahama of running away from a national debate.
He contended that the former president’s reluctance to debate him is aimed at avoiding being exposed on the vacuousness of his campaign promise.
But commenting on the development, the Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency described the call was needless.
He asked the Vice President to focus on rebuilding the economy, which is currently in dire straits rather than demanding for a debate.
