The running mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party has described President Akuffo Addo as the best president since independence.
Speaking at a rally in Kumasi in an event to unveil him as a running mate of the party, the former Manhyia South member of parliament cited President Akuffo Addo’s credentials in the education and energy fronts to justify his assertion.
‘‘Going into history, I can say that we have not had any president who has helped Ghana than Nana Akuffo Addo, not even your Kwame Nkrumah’’, he added.
He encouraged the party’s rank and file to forgive each other’s wrongdoing and foster a formidable team as they head into the 2024 elections.
The 56-year-old medical doctor asked his folks men to support the party quest to poll 85% of total valid voted from the Ashanti region, touted as the world bank of ruling New Patriotic Party.
Meanwhile a lot of netizens have expressed misgiving over NAPO’s attempt to pitch the credentials of Kwame Nkrumah and former presidents against that of President Akuffo Addo.
This comment has provoked social media uproar with many tagging the running mate as being arrogant.
