Deborah Seyram Adablah has sued Mr. Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the Director of Finance at the First Atlantic Bank Ghana for an alleged sexual assault and abuse along with the First Atlantic Bank branch at 1 Seventh Avenue, Ridge West Accra.
In a writ of summon issued by the Accra High Court on January 23, 2023, the defendant was commanded to make an appearance before the court seven days after the issuance of the summon letter.
Deborah Seyram Adablah in her suit admitted to having a parlor relationship with Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at the time, Mr. Ernest Kwasi Nimako after persistent sexual harassment and abuse and had to give in, in order not to make her stay at her workplace horrible.
Miss Adablah also mentioned how senior male officers at the bank constantly pursued and harassed female workers and made life at the bank unbearable for them if they failed to give in to their advances.
She added that all senior managers at the branch had girlfriends working at the bank and changed them at will and the bank did not do anything to protect them.
The defendant, Mr. Nimako promised the plaintiff a lump sum working capital to start a business, pay for her accommodation/rent for 3 years, GHC 3,000 monthly allowance, ring, pay medical and other bills including family planning to avoid getting pregnant in the short term and also to marry the plaintiff after divorcing his wife.
She admitted to Mr. Nimako paying for a one-year rent of GHC 1,500 monthly in Labadi however he did not fulfill paying the additional 2-year rent.
In addition, the defendant had been paying the monthly GHC 3,000 allowance but stopped in July 2022 when they started having differences.
The plaintiff in summary wants the defendant to fulfil promises made and repair for damages he had made to her car.
