The head coach of Charlton Athletic F.C. Dean Holden in an injury update said the Ghanaian and Charlton Athletic club goal keeper had had wire removed from his repaired finger.
Healing from a fractured finger injury sustained during a warm up with his club days before the start of the World Cup, making him miss out on the tournament though he was with the team in Qatar.
“Jojo Wollacott has had the wore removed from his finger and that’s gone well. The surgeon was pleased with that so we now need to make sure the finger heals.
“As soon as that’s the case we can step him forward and move him back into training in the next couple of weeks,” Dean Holden said.
Charlton Athletic lost to Manchester United last night in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals where they faced a 3-0 defeat at the Old Trafford.
Dean Holden after the game said he was proud of his team’s performance.
“I said that to the players after the game, I am proud of the performance,” he said.
