Bank of Ghana (BoG) has released a notice that it is not going to respond to any complaints sent to it by any customer of a financial institution if the complainant is looking for compensation in court on the same issue.
The Bank of Ghana (BOG) said it would only respond to the issue if the matter is brought out of court at the disposition of the complainant.
“Note that the Bank of Ghana will not address your complaint if you are seeking redress in court on the same issue.
“Your complaint will be handled only if the matter is withdrawn from court at your discretion,” it said in its update on the ‘Financial Literacy on Complaint Resolution Procedure’.
The Central bank further stated to the public that they have to report to their financial service providers if they are not ok with the services being provided to them.
“You have a right to complain to your financial service provider if you are not happy with their services,” they added.
“You may lodge your complaint with the service provider in a language of your choice. Expect a response within five working days,” they concluded.
