King of Qatar awards Messi for winning World Cup

On December 18, 2022, the World Cup finals which took place in Qatar Lusail iconic Stadium between Argentina vrs France was one of the greatest World Cup of all time, which saw Messi win the World Cup for the first time and was gifted a “golden cloak” which signifies a sign of a warrior by the King of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani wore the cloak on Messi as a sign of royalty and a warrior.

Messi who has won many trophies and awards only, had one trophy to complete his trophy collection which was the World Cup he finally won making his trophy cabinet complete, making him one of the greatest of all time in football.

Messi who follows the footsteps of his predecessor Diego Marradona achieved everything a player could achieve with the exception of the World Cup which now makes him complete and tied with Diego Marradona. 

During the Award ceremony before the captain of the Argentine team would raise the World Cup to celebrate, the king of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani gifted Lionel Messi a black cloak which is called “Beshth”.

It was a cloak wore by Arabian warriors  after a victory and it is only worn by the royal family. The king honored messi as a sign of respect and also signifying Messi as a warrior who won the World Cup for his country.
