The Football Association has charged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after he was sent out after his team’s 1-0 win against Manchester City.

Klopp was dismissed after berating a referee’s assistance for failing to call a foul on Mohamed Salah.

The event occurred on a weekend when Merseyside Youth League games were canceled due to recurring difficulties with referee abuse.

In his post-match statements, Klopp apologized for his outburst.

“I’m not proud of what happened in that circumstance. I deserved a red card, and the manner I was dressed at the time was inappropriate “The German confirmed as much.

Klopp has been charged with violating FA regulation E3, which includes “improper, bringing the game into disgrace, threatening, abusive, indecent, or insulting statements.”

Following the win over City, Klopp said he went to see to referee Anthony Taylor and “spoke completely calmly” about how he felt the match unfolded.

He added: “The whole game led to that a little bit. It was a very, very intense game with a lot of decisions we didn’t understand on both sides.

“This for me was like the one drop that made the bucket overflow. I’m not happy with my reaction but that’s the way it was and everybody saw it.”

The 55-year-old has until Friday to reply to the accusation and will be permitted to coach Liverpool against West Ham at home on Wednesday.
