Black Sherif’s ”The Villian I Never Was” makes it to number 12 on World Albums Billboard

Mohammed Ismail Sharrif (born 9 January 2002), often known as Black Sherif, is a Konongo-based Ghanaian musician and performer.

He achieved mainstream success with his street song “Second Sermon,” which was released in July 2021. His captivating melodies and choruses have earned him over 100 million streams on Audiomack, and his music is featured everywhere from social media influencer videos to NBA games. All-Star events

Since the release of his “First Sermon” freestyle in May 2021, Black Sherif’s great breakout has been heralded. As a voice of the youth, this viral smash was followed two months later by “Second Sermon,” establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in 2021. 

Black Sherif, who has been making waves in the local and worldwide music scene, won three prizes on the night, including Hiphop Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, and New Artiste of the Year, at the first Ghana Music 2021 Awards.

He also received four prestigious accolades at the 5th edition of the 3Music Awards, which was held in the Grand Arena of the Ghana International Conference.

In May 2022, Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Amaarae, and Smallgod met Kendrick Lamar during a private album listening party in Accra for his new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Boomplay named Black Sherif as the first Ghanaian artist to reach 100 million streams on their platform in June 2022.

The 20 year old Ghanaian artist released his debut album titled ”the villian i never was” on 5th October this year has made broke into the Top BillBoard Chart.
