The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to involve the efforts of the security personnels to prevent examination malpractices in this year’s 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to GNECC, heads of schools, teachers and invigilators should also adhere to their code of ethics to ensure the smooth running of the exexamination.

The GNECC in a statement said “as the candidates prepare to begin their exams on Monday 17th of October 2022, GNECC” writes to wish them well and encourage them to do their best and be bold to write what they have learnt over the years.

“We also want them to take away any form of doubt and fear because we believe that, they have prepared themselves adequately for this task and they should see this exams as one of the normal mock examinations they have written.

They added that:“the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) is advising all candidates and invigilators to desist from all forms of examination malpractices which may lead to cancellation of their papers or withholding of their results.

“GNECC entreats all parents and guardians to also encourage their wards and provide them with all the necessary examination tools they will need to write the exams successfully. They should also advise them not to engage in any examination malpractices and violence which may jeopardize their future.”

The 2022 BECE started today Monday, October 17, 2022.
