Reports emerged yesterday, Tuesday, September 20, 2022 that a trainee nurse who got missing 3 weeks ago after she had attended an interview in Cape Coast had been kidnapped and killed with her body being exhumed from a Chief’s room at Mankessim.
A fresh report coming in this morning is that the main suspect who happens to be a pastor and the boyfriend of the victim’s (Georgina Asor Botchwey) elder sister has been arrested and now in police custody while the second suspect who happens to be the chief of Ekumfi Akwakrom in Mankessim is on the run.
A detailed report by a journalist from the scene indicated that the victim, after attending the interview in Cape Coast, decided to sleep at her sister’s place and continue her journey the following day.
Her sister therefore asked her to wait at a certain spot and that her boyfriend will come and pick her up.
The report added that while the victim was waiting, she had another male company who chatted with her for sometime and later took her contact.
The victim then told him her sister’s boyfriend will come and pick her up after her new male friend decided to excort her home since it was late .
It is when the guy left her until he saw her pictures circulating on social media that she is missing .
He contacted the victim’s family which led to the arrest of the pastor.
Through interrogations by the police, the pastor confessed that he indeed picked up the victim with a car from Ankaful to Mankessim and that is where they both committed the heinous act.
According to him, he took the victim to the chief’s palace and that is where he and the chief locked her up in one of the rooms, ceased her phone and hit her with a stick until she died.
He added that, they buried her body in one of the chief’s room and casted concrete on the grave.
According to reports, they intended to use the victim for rituals.
“According to residents, he (main suspect) always visits the chief almost every weekend. No one knows what they always talk about,” the journalists narrated to Asempa fm.
The reports added that after the pastor had kidnapped the victim, he intentionally demanded an amount of GHC15,000 from her family claiming he will use it in finding the victim.
The body of the victim has now been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.
