Since the unfortunate incident of December 20, 2021, where some parliamentarians were seen exchanging blows in the chamber, not much has been heard from Right.Hon. Speaker Alban Bagbin.
The Speaker, whose unceremonious absence, is said to have caused the fisticuff, has not utter a word, amidst the melee in the chamber, where he leads.
On Tuesday, a day after the unfortunate incident, the Speaker was again conspicuously missing from Parliament, a development that led to abrupt sine die adjournment of parliament.
Whereas the Majority is suspecting sinister intentions of the Speaker, the Minority continue to defend the Right Hon. Alban Bagin, claiming the Speaker’s absence was due to ill-health.
However, in the midst of this division, some Ghanaians have taken to social media to ask of the whereabouts of the Speaker, whose silence on the embarrassing specter in Parliament on December 20, 2021, appears to be deafening.
Using #WhereisBagbin, Social media is asking the Speaker to use his august office to purge Parliament of the unfortunate incidences.
