Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency in the Volta region, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reiterated the Minority’s suspicion over whether Hon. Sarah Adwoa Sarfo, Member of parliament for Dome-Kwabenya constituency, was present in Parliament yesterday.

The ranking member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of parliament had raised suspicion over his colleague’s identity in an earlier interview yesterday with Joy news.

Speaking on the Ekosiisen show on Asempa FM on Wednesday, December 01, 2021, the MP rehashed his side’s suspicion that Hon. Sarah Adwoa Sarfo was impersonated at yesterday’s parliamentary sitting.

‘’We are not alone in this suspicion. Even the media in the chamber and some of my colleagues were suspicious of the identity of the person who presented herself as Hon. Sarah Adwoa Sarfo,’’ he remarked.

He remarked that whilst he was excited seeing Hon. Adwoa Sarfo in Parliament today, that does not settle the issue of whether she was in parliament yesterday.

All I can say is that we stand by the investigations that we are doing, he insisted.

He vowed that the Minority will not hesitate to use credible and independent party to help get to the bottom of this issue.

He also mentioned that his side was open to using technology to help in settling suspicion over whether the lady was actually Hon. Adwoa Sarfo.

‘‘You can be rest assure that we will do what is best to preserve the sanctity of parliament and even her own reputation. She is a respectable member of parliament,’’ he assured.
