Talented Ghanaian Gospel Artist, Patience Nyarko, has asserted that only 30% of Ghanaian Gospel songs are originally owned by the artists.

She insists that 70% of the remaining songs belonged to churches and various denominational groups.

‘‘We need to acknowledge these churches, who originally own these songs and if possible pay them some royalties. In Ghana, only 70% of gospel songs are sampled from the churches,’’ she postulated.

She further posited that most gospel musicians are only reshuffling existing songs that belongs to the church.

Pushed to advance further and better evidence to support her claims, she insisted that while she will not mention names of any artist, her assertion can equally not be disputed.

Patience Nyarko is currently promoting two latest songs from her camp, Ananses3m and He can never lie.
