Prominent Ghanaian reggae/dancehall musician Livingstone Etse Satekla popular known for his stage name, Stonebwoy has revealed that footballer Asamoah Gyan paid for his surgery seven years ago.

In a twitter post, Stonebwoy thanked the former Black Stars captain for his generosity.

The 34 year old musician was involved in an accident on the Accra Tema Motorway in 2003. When the unfortunate accident occurred, he was in a vehicle with his father, twin brother, and elderly sister on their way to Ashaiman from Accra.

Following the accident, the musician was hospitalized for about six months. His leg was severely injured in the crash.

Stonebwoy was scheduled for leg surgery in Germany in 2016, just a few months after his mother died.

The bill for that surgery he noted was taken care of by Asamoah Gyan. “Time flies but I can never forget,” Stonewboy stated.

Meanwhile, in response to the musician’s post, Asamoah Gyan stated that he was happy to help Stonebwoy when he needed it.
