Ghanaians have descended heavily on American rapper Meek Mill for shooting a music video in the Jubilee house.

The widely circulated video featured some parts of the Jubilee house and the rapper standing behind the podium used by the president when addressing the nation.

The American rapper and his Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have been the most talked about on twitter since the release of the music video.

According to some twitter users, the Jubilee house serves as the office of the president and the highest security zone and therefore should not have allowed the American rapper to have his way in there.

Meanwhile, the American rapper, upon receiving the backlash, took down the video on Sunday, 8 January, 2023.

The Member of parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a post on twitter called for persons who allowed Meek Mill to shoot the video clip at the Jubilee House to be fired.

“All those responsible for this despicable desecration of the Jubilee House by Meek Mill must be fired immediately. How do those explicit lyrics from the president’s lectern project Ghana positively? Is Ghana’s seat of government no longer a high security installation?” Mr. Ablakwa tweeted.

Several twitter users expressed their displeasure for allowing the rapper to shoot a music video in the presidential palace.
