It’s not a bill but a seed money from government – Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee on budget money for National Cathedral

A member of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, in an interview with joy news, shared her view on the disapproval of the Gh80million for the construction of the National Cathedral.
According to her, the said money was just a seed the government wanted to offer year by year to aid in the construction of the cathedral and not a bill.
She also said despite the rejection of the seed, the project is not going to forfeit but would rather go on.

“I think we need to explain that what Parliament did not approve of was only part of the seed money that government said it will give year by year, not the entire money needed to construct and complete the edifice,” she said.
She added that: “Because I know you are going to bring your Gh100, I’m going to give my Gh100 and everybody we approach who is willing.”
She believes that the building of the Cathedral is going to be a success through the voluntary and collective effort of Ghanaians.
