Prince Tagoe Remanded for Fraud

An Accra Circuit Court has Remanded ex-footballer for allegedly defrauding one Mr. George Antwi Boateng.

Prince Tahoe was convicted for allegedly defrauding Mr. Boateng also an ex-footballer to the tune of $40,000 equivalent to GH¢265,200.00.


The former footballer denies taking the amount under the pretense of importing a vehicle for Mr. Boateng who is based in Germany.


Prince Tahoe was a Ghanaian footballer whose active years were from 2006 to 2012.
Born in Accra, he started his career with Hearts of Oak in 2004 and 2005, winning the Ghana Premier League with them in 2004.

He went ahead to play in Saudi Arabia for Ittihad, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Al Shabab and eventually for Ettifaq FC in Saudi Arabia.

Prince Tagoe later moved to Germany, playing for Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim in 2009. He later joined Serbian club Partizan where he won the Serbian SuperLiga and Serbian Cup.

He later on signed for a Bangladesh club Chittagong Abahani where he won the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup in 2019.
