Suspects involved in Mankessim killing to reappear in court on October 4

The Tufohene of Ekumfi Akwakrom, also the President of the Mankessim Traders Association, Nana Crack, and pastor Christopher Ekow Quansah who were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and killing a nursing trainee student in Mankessim, have been remanded by the Cape Coast District court, on Thursdays September 22, 2022.

They were charged with conspiracy to commit crime, with murder and murder, contrary to section 46 of the Criminal Offenses Act 1960, Act 29.

It was alleged that the two, had buried the victim (Georgina Asor Botchwey) who has been missing for weeks according to her family, in the chief’s room in Mankessim.

The first suspect was however arrested on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the same day the victim’s body was exhumed from the chief’s room while the second suspect (chief) who was on the run was arrested the following day, Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

They are to reappear in court on the 4th of October, 2022.
