The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo is calling on the people of Bawku to embrace peace.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Emmanuel Kumi the President indicated that persons whose actions destabilizes the peace of Bawku will not go scot-free.
He called on residence to adhere to the Supreme Court’s landmark verdict on the matter.
The call follows renewed tensions in the area since November 2021.As part of efforts to control the situation, the Minister of interior, have had to announce curfew in the area.
For their part, the Ministry of Interior has asked the security agencies to deal ruthlessly with persons whose action compromises the peace, stability, and security in the area.
