Former President, John Dramani Mahama has  taken a swipe at President Nana Addo, calling on him to take his responsibilities as President seriously.

‘‘I think the President must take his responsibilities seriously and focus on working to change the circumstances of our people, rather than the rabble-rousing skits he serves the nation,’’ he stated.

These comments were in reaction to statements that were made by the President at the ruling New Patriotic Party’s just ended Annual National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.

At its Annual National Delegates Conference, President Nana Addo can be seen in an animated fashion questioning the track-record of his predecessor’s led government.

The President was recorded as having mentioned that the John Dramni Mahama led government cannot pinpoint a single social intervention policy to his credit.

This comment has since attracted response from the Former President, who has sought to set the record straight on his legacy.

In a long Facebook response to the President’s rhetorical question on what new policy the John Dramani Mahama led govern mention introduced during his tenure, the former President noted, as follows:

‘‘If only he took a moment, in the comfort of his chartered jet, to read the People’s manifesto, he would have at least learnt about the ‘Big Push’ (an accelerated infrastructure plan for Ghana), ‘Free Primary Health Care Plan’, the ‘1 million jobs plan’, ‘Ghana FIRST’ (Framework for Industrial, Revitalisation, Support and Transformation) and several other well-thought-through and costed policies, the statement reads in part.

‘‘With his speech of yesterday, he has carved his niche as a good campaigner, but unfortunately a poor leader as Ghanaians have found out at great cost,’’ he added.
