Edem Senanu, Chairman of Advocates for Christ Ghana, has questioned the logic with the compulsory vaccination directive by the government and the Ghana Health Service.
He explained that he has reports that links some of the vaccines to some heart conditions and other side effects.
According to him, conversations around the pandemic has been lopsidedly directed in favour for the need for vaccination, rather than the side effects of vaccination.
He wondered why the government will take such a hardline approach to dealing with the pandemic, at the time that normalcy was being restored.
He also questioned the level of public education on the vaccinations to merit an attempt to introduce compulsory vaccination.
According to him, some people have been adversely affected by the vaccines.
‘’According to a research I have cited, there is risk of younger males contracting heart related issues is higher when they are vaccinated. I am speaking as a scientist and I say I have difficulty understanding how we have arrived where we are with compulsory vaccination,’’ he asserted.
Edem Senanu also questioned the timing of the compulsory vaccination directive, noting that the nation-wide vaccination exercise effort could have been done ahead of the Christmas festivities.
He, therefore, asked the government to tread cautiously in its quest to get everyone vaccinated.
The anti-corruption crusade also urged Ghanaians to adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols, which include: regular hand washing, avoiding crowded places, use of alcohol-based sanitizers and the wearing of nose mask.
