President Akuffo Addo has been conferred the Ghana Bar Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Akuffo Addo was announced the first recipient of the awards at the GBA’s Annual Conference in Kumasi, on Monday, September 09 2024.
In a rather charismatic gesture, the President of the Ghana Bar Association called on the President Akuffo Addo to receive the award, amidst shock waves written all over his face and that of his entourage.
While at this, the President of the Bar Association Ghana extolled the towering reputation and contribution of President Akuffo to the legal profession in Ghana, and noted that President Akuffo is the first member of the association to ascend to the highest office of the land.
The Ghana Bar Association Annual Conference, which is currently underway in Kumasi, is under the distinguished patronage of the Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Otumfour Osei Tutu II
Responding to the development, President Akuffo Addo expressed immense gratitude to the Association for the honor done him.
‘‘And I thank you so much for the award that has generously been presented to me. It’s one that I will cherish for a lifetime,’’ he stated.
