Ibrahim Tanko, the head coach of Accra Lions football club, has been accused of violating a section of the Premier League regulations.
According to the charge, the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association issued out this charge against Mr. Tanko as a result of alleged misdemeanor through certain claims made in his closing remarks after the game.
Having alleged that “certain three gentlemen” helped the Kotoko team probably meant their success happened due to foul play infused by the management.
“We had a not-so-good first half. Then we tightened our belts. Definitely in the second half, we played better, if not for the three gentlemen who helped them. Congratulations to Kotoko!”, explained Ibrahim Tanko in a press statement.
This analysis, however, led to the displeasure of the Ghana Football Association, because such claims seek to tarnish the image of Ghanaian football.
It is believed that Coach Ibrahim Tanko is yet to respond to the charges levelled against him.
