A middle-aged Ghanaian divorcee took to Sompa Nkomo, on Sompa FM, to share life struggles after her husband of twenty-four years divorced her, citing her lack of education as reason.
Visibly upset and speaking through tears, the woman revealed that her ex-husband happens to be employed as an immigration officer and is more than capable of sending her compensation, but he has never done so.
She added that the man knew very well that she was not a scholar, but was able to marry her and impregnate her three times in twenty-four years, only to divorce her after twenty-four years — making it the saddest part.
“After 24 years of living under the same roof, this man has realised that I am not well educated and has chosen to divorce me. He has not given me 1 cedi ever since I signed the papers!”, she explained sadly during the interview session.
