Opportunities, like getting the chance to study abroad, do not come easily, and it’s a wonder noticing how some individuals take major risks and mess up in the long run.
News hovering online has it that one past student from Prempeh College who won the NSMQ competition in 2021, has been placed behind bars together with other four students because they possessed fake documents.
The forgery charges include the unlawful possession of fake WASSCE transcripts, fake grades and other personal information.
However, the process was to ensure that the boys met the needed requirements so they could be granted scholarships into the Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
While this is not much of a facelift for Ghana, the alleged false transcripts worked miracles for these students to be financially aided in the foreign institution until their day of reckoning.
Currently, they are being held custody on account of forgery and theft, and a bail of $100,000 has been demanded.
This heartbreaking news has cast a shadow of shame on the Ghanaian populace, with most of them marvelling at the heinous ways certain individuals could go to attain success.
