The member of parliament for the Kpando constituency, Hon Della Sowah has alleged that the LGBTQ community has filed candidates against her in the forthcoming NDC parliamentary primaries.
More specifically, she associated the allegations to one Mr Sebastian Deh, who contested in the last parliamentary primaries against her.
Speaking to delegates at Kpando Abgbenoxoe polling stations on Thursday, March 30, 2023, “The Homosexual community wants to remove me from office because I cosponsor the anti-Gay bill” I suspect Sebastian Deh and other candidates are their preferred candidates,”she said.
The member of parliament who has been in parliament since 2012, faces stiff opposition from other top candidates like Divine Agbeti, a veteran British soldier and former Bank of England executives.
This allegation is borne out of fears that due to the 2020 parliamentary results from the Kpando constituency, the MP has become so unpopular with the constituents.
The NDC has slated May 13th 2023 for its parliamentary and presidential primaries across the country.
