The Ghana Police service has launched a manhunt for a gang of robbers who attacked a gold buying shop on Wednesday, February 1 in Ntwitwina, near Wassa Nkonya in the Western Region.
According to reports, the robbers shot three persons during the raid.
The police say a special team comprising investigation, intelligence and operational officers have been deployed to beef up security in the town and surrounding communities.
“We would like to assure the public that we will surely get the robbers arrested to face justice.”
This follows the arrest of several robbery suspects in the area on Saturday, January 28.
The four suspects were apprehended by police in a special anti-robbery operation while fleeing the crime scene.
