Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Sam Nartey George has said that Technical Advisor of the Ghana Black Stars, Chris Hughton has been given the Black Stars Coaching job.
He made mention of it in an interview on Joy News on January 23, 2023.
“That job they’ve given it to Chris Hughton already so why are we wasting our time. They’ve given it to him because they want someone they can manipulate, someone who they can use to do their business,” he said.
According to him, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wants someone who they can ask to bring his team selection so they can choose who not to make the Black Stars team.
When asked whether he has proof to his statement, he asked how Baba Rahman made the final list of the Black Stars.
He added that people at the GFA after claiming to be the managers of players would order the coach to include their players.
He asked, “What ball did he play? What ball had he played? Is Baba Rahman’s agent not our GFA president?”
He concluded that Ghanaians should not be annoyed.
The GFA President therefore in a Facebook wrote, “We love engaging in falsehood in this country!!!”
In a subsequent post he added, “Truth stands!!!”
