The Dutch National Team has confirmed the appointment of their new head coach Ronald Koeman, following the departure of Louis Van Gaal.

Ronald Koeman (born 21st March 1963) is the manager of the Netherlands national football team and a former player from the Netherlands.

Koeman was appointed manager of the Netherlands national team on February 6, 2018, for a four-and-a-half-year contract that includes the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He took over for Dick Advocaat, who stepped down after failing to lead the Netherlands to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Netherlands finished second in the 2018-19 UEFA Nations League after a 1-0 loss to Portugal in the final on June 9, 2019.

Koeman left national squad on August 19, 2020, to become manager of Barcelona. After losing out on UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Netherlands qualified for a final tournament, UEFA Euro 2020, under his leadership for the first time since the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
