A Ghana police vehicle carrying suspects from Damongo to Tamale in the Northern Region has on Monday night, January 16, 2023, involved in a car accident on the Fufulso-Damongo highway.
Some of the suspects were moved to Tamale from Damongo when the incident occurred at Tailorpe around Busunu.
During the incident, there were Seven suspects and eight police officers onboard the vehicle with registration number GP 516.
They sustained various minor degrees of injury. However, the suspects were taken to the hospital and were later taken back to the Busunu Police Station.
The accident happened when the police vehicle hit a middle-aged woman.
Warning shots were fired after the car crushed to warn off intruders.
