When asked again by the host on what he had to say about the economic difficulties Ghana is currently facing, he responded:

“By hook or crook, Ghana will definitely come out of it. When we came to power, Ghana’s financial status was very bad. 2017, the lowest rate of growth in our history, settling the fourth republic, 3.4% inflation out of the window, we had a really bad macro micro atmosphere in Ghana, but we were able to come out of it, re-position our economy.

“We became one of the fastest growing economies in the world, growing in an average of 7% GDP growth per year. Double what we came to meet and then these disasters occured. The Covid, the Russia and Ukraine conflict which has distrupted not just the Ghanaian economy, the world economy and those who don’t want to recognize it, they want to burry the eggs in the sand for their own political purposes,” he added.
