Petrol, diesel prices to shoot up from May 1

The petrol and diesel prices are expected to shoot up from May 1 until May 15, 2022.

According to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), they are predicting that the prices at the pumps are expected to be sold at GH¢ 9.538 per litre of petrol whiles GH¢ 10.829 per litre for diesel.

Meanwhile, the average price however shoots up by 19GHp per litre representing (1.94%) compared to that of the previous window, with petrol which was up by 7GHp per litre, also representing 0.7%, diesel also shooting up by 32GHp per litre, representing 3%.

This is however said to have an effect on the price of petrol and diesel for the next window to be at GH¢10.183 per litre.
