The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday, April 4, 2022, was the guest on the 2022 edition of BBC’s focus on Africa hosted by Peter Okwoche.
The two however had a banter over the current state of Ghana where issues like the Ghanaian economy and the recent occurrences in the socio-political space of the country and again the passage of the Electronic Levy (E-Levy) were addressed.
The global journalist Peter Okwoche, however during the conversation opined that, Ghana’s economy in it’s current state is doing terrible with high cost of living and increasing fuel prices among others.
But the president in response said, Ghana is not as bad as said and thought but rather, it is as a result of global events which Ghana is not exempted.
