24 Ghanaian evacuees from Ukraine is set to arrive in Accra on Monday, February 28, 2022, aboard Qatar Airways.

In a press briefing in Accra on Sunday, February 27, 2022, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, said that the first 24 batch had already arrived in the Romanian capital, Bucharest while officers of the Ghana Mission there had procured tickets for them to leave for Accra on Monday.

The 24 Ghanaians are however said to be part of about 460 students who have already managed to leave the beleaguered Ukraine to neighbouring countries such as Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia and Czech Republic.

Other 220 Ghanaians who have managed to also exist Ukraine are expected to be in Ghana within the week.

Meanwhile, Ms Shirley, has debunked reports that a train carrying some Ghanaiains from Ukraine had been attacked.
