Revered Dancehall Artist, Stonebwoy, has waded into the conversation regarding support that Nigerians give artist of different African markets.
According to Stonebwoy, while Shatta Wale’s approach to dealing with his issues with Nigerians may be wrong, the vexed topic of Nigerians not reciprocating the support they receive from other African markets is valid.
His Comments follows conversations that have been generated by Shatta Wale’s rant about the lack of support for Ghanaian artists by their Nigerian counterparts.
At his Freedom Wave Concert held at the Accra Sport Stadium, Shatta Wale took a swipe at players in Nigeria’s Entertainment Industry.
According to the controversial Dancehall artists, Nigeria’s Entertainment industry hardly supports arts from different countries.
But Commenting on the issue, Bhimnation boss stated that, given their huge population and power, Nigerians must accept the responsibility of helping to forge a united African front.
He urged Nigerian to allow music from other markets to flourish in Nigeria, to keep the vision of selling Africa’s music, globally.
In his view, this will help to not just get Africa’s music dominating the world, but also same will go along way to make Africa’s music a global force.
Stonebwoy also called on Ghanaians, both home and abroad , to also prioritize and invest in Ghanaian artists, just as Nigerians do for their artists.
