It appears there is no stopping the surge in COVID-19 cases in Ghana, just as it is occurring in other countries.

Average Daily Infection rate is over 1,000.

The highly transmissible Omicron variant of the virus has largely been blamed for the surge in COVID-19 cases.

Additionally, the non-compliance to the safety protocols, vaccine hesitancy and numerous events associated with the Christmas festivities, have also open many up to the risk of contracting the virus.

The Ghana Health Services’ official report, as at December 26, 2021, pegs Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases at 9,524.

1, 287 persons have fallen to the virus in Ghana.

The Ghana Health Service continuously employs Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols, whilst making themselves available for the vaccination exercise.
