The Ghana Police Service is mourning the death of two Police officers who died through Violent Crime in the Bolgatanga East District of the Upper East Region.
The sad development is said to have occurred on the wee hours of Wednesday, December 14, 2021.
Reports have it that the officers lost their lives, while attempting to foil an armed robbery incident.
In a terse post, Ghana Police christened the development as Black Wednesday.
The Service attributes the loss of these two officers to activities of criminals, while on night patrols within the Zuarungu Township to safeguard life and property.
In line with our tradition, the Police has announced it will contact and inform families of these sad development before details of the deceased officers can be shared.
Meanwhile, the Police is appealing to members of the public who witnessed the dastardly act to be circumspect with information pertaining to the incident.
