Host of Onua FM/TV’s morning show, Captain Smart has pleaded not guilty to the charge of offensive conduct.
The Police arrested the outspoken broadcaster for making pronouncements, which the service deemed inimical to the peace and stability of the country.
The Police mentioned that his action was in contravention Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).
But appearing before Circuit Court 7 in Accra on Thursday, December 9, 2021, Captain Smart pleaded not guilty to the offense.
The court admitted him to bail in the sum of Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 100,000.00), with one surety to be justified.
The case has been adjourned to January 11, 2022. Meanwhile, he is to report to the Police every Tuesday and Friday.
