AWA plies Ho from Saturday, December 04

Effective December 04, 2021, visits to the Volta regional capital, Ho, can now be done by air.

This was after the successful launch of African World Airlines operations in the volta regional capital.

The launch event which took place in Ho was attended by the Member of Parliament for Ho Central, HON. Benjamin Kpodo, Media, officials of African World Airlines, among other dignitaries.

A visibly elated Kpodo, could not hold back his excitement over the decision of AWA to operate commercial flight to the region.

He took to Facebook to express profound optimism about the development potentials a commercial flights to the Volta region can create for the region.

Completed in 2017 at an estimated cost of cost of $25million, the Ho Airport is expected to boost economic and social activities in the Volta regions.

This will be the first the Ho Airport facility will be used for commercial flight operations since its completion.

Reports has it that on April 15, 2021, AWA operated a demonstration flight to the Ho Airport.

This was to help the company gather technical data about operations and to put in place the needed logistics for seamless commercial operations. Commercial flight schedule was expected to be released by June of 2022. However this was deferred.
