Cape Coast University To Resume Lectures Soon

Authorities of the university of cape coast has announced that work for the second semester 2019/2020 would resume on April 22,2020, to start Lectures online.

This was said in a statement released by the school authorities,
the school however made it clear that lectures would be undertaken through the school’s online platform, the “Moodle platforms”.

The continuation of the semester is expected to run from April 22nd to June 2nd. According to the statement, the exam date which was set for June 15th is subject to review depending the status of the country with respects to the covid-19 outbreak.


Heads of departments were consequently given up to Tuesday to provide the details of part-time lecturers to the pro vice-chancellor to be enrolled on the platform.  
The statement directed that “Heads of department should provide names, email address, telephone numbers and assigned courses (with codes and titles) of part-time lecturers to the pro vice-chancellor for enrolment of the lecturers on the Moodle platform by Tuesday 14 April,”


The statement also emphasized that should the situation in the country remain the same beyond May, “new dates for revision and end of semester examinations would be communicated to members of the university community”. 
According to the statement, new timetable released for the semester will be used to guide students’ self-directed reading and real-time interactions based on weekly activity plans to be prepared by their lecturers.

The statement did not make it clear when the Sandwich program would be resumed but stated the release date later.
“Reopening arrangement for sandwich session would be communicated to members of the university community later,” the statement said.


The statement also emphasized that the third and fourth sessions of the end of first examination for distance education students should remain suspended and resume only when the coronavirus situation normalised.
The university is counting on the usual cooperation of all for the successful completion of the 2019/2020 academic year
