
On Wednesday, Sevilla confirmed the 30-year-departure, old’s making the offensive midfielder a free agent heading into the January transfer window.
Isco’s position was reduced after former manager Julen Lopetegui, who encouraged Isco to sign as a free agent after leaving Real Madrid, was fired in early October and replaced by Jorge Sampaoli.
Between 2012 and 2017, he had a glittering start to his career, playing for Malaga and Real Madrid. However, injuries and bad form caused him to fall out of favor with Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, and Isco left the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer following a nine-year tenure.
Isco’s contract was set to expire in 2024, but he has now left the club with immediate effect.
Isco is now available as a free agent after his contract with Sevilla was mutually ended.
The players’ camp is already looking into all options in Spain and England in order to find a new solution. It is an open race.
